I measured my instream from my foot to my crotch area and it's roughly 80-85cm, so how do i measure up? 18, 20 or 22inch frame size?

I'm eyeing up the old Shogun Grind XC with front and rear disc brakes for just over £200. Any ideas as to whether it's worth the spuds?

Cheers boss, that's great. Exactly what i was looking for. When i was looking for a guide all i got was page long paragraphs of text. A simple illustration and table is all it needed.

I haven't been looking at mountain bikes properly for a while but last time I did most of the Shogun range were pretty poor. Maybe someone else can offer more advice but what do you want the bike for? Is it proper mountain biking or is it general commuting or .....? Also if the disc brakes are mechanical then they probably aren't worth that much(any) extra, they might be a shade better in the wet or muddy conditions but are more complex than a good set of Vs and don't offer much more performance.

Okay man, thanks. It'll just be for general commuting, so i'm not looking for anything overly extensive in the performance barrier.
