getting a few problems with gaming with Vista

Well everything was ok, but now oblivion only works for a while, before it says its encountered an error and needs to close, then i load back up and my save games are corrupt, BF2 occaionally just closes down back to desktop for no reason, and now playing Company of Heroes, i was about half an hour into a skirmish when i click on a soldier, and i get the annoying popup saying its stopped working.

Is this Vista doing this? i have the latest drivers. Or could it be something else?
