Getting a flat pack kitchen fitted

How did they fit? I don't think I found one room that was square and each top had to be cut to fit the angle of the room.

Fitted fine! The room is very square luckily (house built in 1979):

Even if it had been a cm or so out then the wooden upstands I also got would have hidden any gap though.

Like others, i gutted our kitchen, re-plastered and re-fitted a completley new and totally different laid out kitchen. Then laid 35sqm of karndean flooring.
I'm happy with the result, but i can see errors in my work that pro's would not have made. Luckily i had no worktop jointing to do. I did all the plumbing, partition building, and power points/cabling (got sparky to test and certify) However the saving i made by NOT employing someone outweighed the bits that aren't spot on tbh. And the feeling of accomplishment added to that.
I'd suggest 'finding' the time (easier said than done i know), then get someone in to do the jointing.
Homebase surely can't be the only ones who do the colours you're after?!

Either way, good luck.
