What is the process for getting a license?

I currently hold a full car license and am in my 30's. There seems to be loads of different categories.

CBT >> Motorcycle Theory >> MOD 1 >> MOD 2

You can do it in a week or over a period of time. I did my CBT in October, Theory November, Mod 1 December and Mod 2 in February.

The thread IC3 pointed you towards will help. It was that thread which got me legal on two wheels

You're going for DAS, so its category A. If you were under 24 years old it would be A2 that you would need to do. All the info is in that thread and posts.

I didn't realise you had to sit another theory test.

First time ive ventured in here but epic fail on missing the obvious sticky

Probably makes sense to do the weeks course.

Definitely do the weeks course if you can. I had to spread it over a few months due to money reasons and also being very difficult to book time out of work.
