Getting a new 360... Do all have FALCON?

There's a good 3 or 4 threads in a forum (don't know if it's a competitor or not, will check) - gimme 10-15 mins.

Either way, they are confirming the Falcon board and as far as I can tell, they've come from different 'stores' (highstreet and online).

Rang a mate up earlier on who works at one of said stores and while he's no hardware expert at all, he says the tell-tale signs to depect a Falcon are apparent in the Elites they have in stock.

Will check if the forum is a competitor or not and get back to you.

Wicked thanks mate - I'm really desperate to get my hands on one! Could you email or MSN me which stores etc? (emails in trust)
 
not all have HDMI yet. Work in a high street seller and ours dont , the premiums that is. But we are getting in a new batch soon which might. They should say on the box if they do so just check

The falcons are cooler, quieter and use a lot less energy. A review site did an article last week 65nm compared to 90nm and when the 65nm was playing a game it still used less power than the 90nm sitting idle on the dashboard which I found astonishing!

hoping to pick one up tomorrow armed with the info that the falcons run on 175watt psu's although some were shipped with 203watt however if both the label and brick say 175watt then its confirmed to be a falcon afaik

I did notice my new 360's PSU had a different connector than my old one, the old one had 2 little push buttons on the connector that plugs into the 360 whereas the new one doesnt. Does this mean its a Falcon?

Runs very cool, but the magical benQ drive is NO quieter than any other models.
 
Dont think I have the falcon. Mines a replacement HDMI one that I got a cupple of weeks ago :\ Booooo. Oh well hopfully my 360 this time will be fine.
 
175watt psu's seem to confirm that its the falcon model altho ive just picked up a 203watt arcade pack FDOU #0738 with BenQ drive which is also falcon so its hit or miss with the 203s but 99.9% guaranteed with a 175watt psu
according to the guys over at the xbox forums there has never been a 175watt zephyr

I guess the elite falcons are becoming more popular then? Any hints as to where you got it?
 
I rang them and asked to check if they had 175w on the box sticker. He said yes they do and all the ones they have just had in are the same.
