Hi guys,

My dilemma is this I have an Asus P6T motherboard, it is a solid board, not let me down for 12 months, but I tend to try and upgrade on a regular basis...

Is there a better I7 board out there at the memoment, or should I stick until 2011, when the new chips from AMD and Intel come out???

Oh my main gripe is that when I stick my 275 GPU in the last slot it runs at x4 in the PCI-e slot and not x16...If I stick my SLI cards together in the PCI-e slot above they get toasy and start to burn!!!!

Cheerz

What is the slot spacing like on your gpu's? Im also running sli gtx 275s, albeit on a p6t deluxe v2, what are the load temps like on the cards.

Hmm when under load I think about 90 degrees in slots next to each other... I am using the third slot to let the 275's breathe.

Theese are mine on the p6t deluxe.

Are your cards overclocked? At load in games mine hit 80-84c on auto fan (50%), manually setting the fan to 70% keeps them in the low 70's, both at stock. check that the fans on both cards are free of dust, if possible a side intake fan on the case may help a bit as well.

Hmm I have cleaned them, but not tempted to pt new thermal grease on the GPU chips yet...

Mine are profiled like that, temps not as bad but would like to improve.

I have the Akasa Venom, but I use it to suck heat away from the Northbridge and GPU...

Getting back to original question, anyone swapped the P6T for something they thought was better?

Oh I have an Antec 1200, 6 fans blowing through the case...filters cleaned regularly.

Considering what you are currently running, I think you may as well wait for the newer CPUs/boards to launch, since we're so close now.
