I want to get my Mum a PAYG phone as a Christmas present. She currently has a phone with Vodafone and I think she wants to stay with Vodafone. If I buy any Vodafone PAYG phone, can she transfer her number over from the old phone or can she just stick her old SIM card into the new phone?

I'm going to get her one of those Pink Motorola Razr phones with a bluetooth headset. I want to keep the price as close to ~£100 as possible. Any better suggestions?

Thanks :)

can stick her sim in

if its looks she would want then razr is ok, but personally for that budget i would get k750i, much better all round

OR the L6 if its at that budget? The thin Motorola Phone :) a very stylish phone.

But for sub £100, the k750 is definately the best.

As far as my mum is concerned, looks are more important than features :p
Given the choice between a V3 Razr or an L6, which would be the better phone, considering the L6 is a bit cheaper?

You can get a red L7 in tesco for £49.95 on offer if you spend so much on shopping/buy a certain amount of credit.

The only problem is it's on Tesco PAYG, so I don't know how easy/expensive it would be to get unlocked.

Unless the phone comes in a branded Tesco box, the L7 shouldn't be locked.

But the handset on Orange or Vodafone as they will be unlocked, don't buy the T-Mobile version as they are locked.

Any more info, just ask.

Make sure the info you've giving is accurate first! Don't assume that the handsets will be unlocked on Orange or Vodafone; if bought directly from the network stores (or from some independants for that matter) the handset will come tied to that particular network.

Agreed some retailers provide sim-free handsets that may be indeed unlocked.. but the majority do not, and you should state that within your post...

I was assuming he would purchase them from CPW as I know the stock mate.
