Ok, so I've had my PS3 since yesterday, and I can't make the thing work wirelessly. If I use wired it's fine.

When wireless I get as far as it testing the internet connection and it errors, giving the error number 80710102.

Anyone else had this?

A quick google shows some that this code is supposed to mean:

"80710102 - PS3 Cannot connect to the router with current IP information - Try rebooting your router""

Some people said that their router is not DHCP relaying their DNS entries to the PS3? I know a bit about networks and wifi, but not used a PS3 yet. Have you tried putting the DNS entries into the PS3 manually? I assume the setup is the same as a PSP? Also it is always worth turning of yourr routers security and trying again, just to see if it is a wep/wpa etc issue or a route to ps3 issue.

The google shows that some people who have this have some linksys router? Check latest firmware etc.

Aye, tried the DNS settings and turning WEP off, no difference. It's a netgear router.

OK, after redoing all my settings umpteen times, it now works so long as I ahve WEP off. Now the question is why turning it on kills it.
