Thinking of getting a xbox 360 Elite atm i found a deal going on at Don't play games with me, Your Highness. You weren't on any mercy mission this time. You passed directly through a restricted system. Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by Rebel spies.I want to know what happened to the plans they sent you. where you buy the console which is 299 pound and get halo 3 for free i thought that was a bargain so going down their tomorrow to pick 1 up hopfully :D

anyone like to fill be in on how the multiplayer works [live] and what will i need to get the full out of the system, will i need a live kit or will the box have everything i need?

Thanks

No competitors.

Zefan.

When you get it you will get 1 months Xbox Live 'gold' for free. Gold allows you to play online against people over the internet. When this runs out it will revert to 'silver' which won't allow you to play people online, however you will still be able to download demos, pictures, achievements, theme's, videos and chat to people (both through the camera/chat or messaging).

To continue you must purchase an Xbox Live subscription which can be bought through the dashboard with either: Amex, Mastercard or Visa, likewise, these can be bought in shops too.

The console does not contain out of the box wireless support, so you will need a wireless adapter should you so wish to use one, otherwise you can use a cabled method direct to the console.

Remember, to get the free gold trial, create your LIVE account through your 360 elite.
I learned that the hard way. =/

Have many stores hiked the prices of the xbox360?

I've been hit by the xbox360 bug and really want one now. I remeber the core was going for £150 in feb/march, now its back upto £179!

I'm just worried that after this huge halo 3 hype, the prices will drop again. Does anyone have any knowledge of there been better xbox360 deals in the not too distant future?

It's not back up to £180, it was reduced to £150 temporarily in some places.

£280 for a console is a bargain.

Thats like one weeks work! The Wii is a bargin console!

£180 is more like a bargin for a 360, but not £280 (unless you did a typo).

My life dont evolve round gaming so for me its more of a fun luxury. I'm guessing i;m just gonne buy a core for £180!

Just a thought if you want to save a few quid, buy a USA live subscription, they can be had for around £12. Insted of the £30+ pricetag the UK ones have. When regestering register a USA address, if you know anyone out there.

Dont think you can have an american subscription on a UK account

I'm sorry. £280 for a console that lasts 4 years with a massive catalogue of very good games which for the most part feature online play and a wide variety of genre's is a bargain.

Clearer?

Also you know the headsets you get with the 360 that go around your head makes my hair look weird after ive been playing a while, i was wondering if you can get a headset which goes around your ears, or can i just use my pc headset on my 360?

Thanks

there are a few headsets that just go around a single ear and dont have the carpy plastic bit that goes around the other side of your head(datel does one i think)

Alternatively since you are thinking of paying for a new headset why not just get a wireless one?? The microsoft ones also hang off of one ear with no other attachments

i dont think your pc ones will work as it th connection to the controller is rather odd but i could be wrong

NO COMPETITORS have Elite, Forza & Blue Dragon for 309

Was thinking of getting that then buying Halo 3 :p
