Getting another 980ti - will 1000w cut it considering everything?

Hi All,

I know this is quite a common thread but I just want to check as I may be borderline on the PSU front.

My current rig is in my signature but I am considering going for another 980ti.

Currently have the following which my 1000w EVGA PSU is powering:

5820k at 4.5ghz
HDD
x2 SSD
Single 980ti overclocked @ 200/400
CPU cooler with 2x140mm fans
4x140mm case fans
3x120mm case fans
USB mouse
USE headset
USE keyboard(Steelseries m800 which needs x2 USB for power)

So based on the above, will another 980ti overload the PSU or should I consider a 1200w PSU?

Either way it doesn't affect my purchase, if I need another PSU to be safe, I will get it.

Thanks

I'm currently running the below (Stolen from my BF4 profile) and the 850W powersupply is running it fine, would've liked an 1000W just for a bit of overhead but after doing some research it was 50/50 on whether 850W was enough.

Seems its fine for me anyway.

Case: Corsair air 540 'High air flow' (Silver)

CPU: AMD FX 8350 Eight Core Processor @ 4.6GHZ (Corsair H100i watercool cooler)
RAM: 4 x 4GB 1600Mhz DDR3
Graphics: 2 x Zotec GTX 980ti SLi
PSU: Corsair 850W
SSD's: 1 x Samsung 840 EVO [120GB] (OS), 1 x Samsung 840 EVO [1TB] (Games)
HDD's: None
OS: Windows 10 x64
Screens: 3 x Asus ROG Swift PG278Q 27" Widescreen LED Gaming Monitor (7860x1440)

EDIT - oh for fans it has 3 case fans, and 4 fans for the H100i on push/pull. also an LED strip and a fan controller.

You should have plenty of headroom. I have a similar 5820K setup with a single 980 Ti both OC. The Corsair 850i PSU reports 480W peak on that setup.

My previous i5 3570K + 2 x 970 GPU peaked at 550W. So if you added say another 200W for the 6 core plus another 980 Ti you're still not pushing the 1000W IMHO.
