Getting Another Dog. Advice Needed?

Hey,

Well I going to get another dog in the near future, I can't get a large dog as the house isn't big enough and I already have a 14 months old Cairn Terrier.

I really like Bassett Hounds and Beagles, can anyone give advice on either dogs? Healthy problems, training etc.. or other breed recommendations?

My other problem is my Cairn (Murphy) is a real terror when it comes to Socialising, I'm just worried I'll end up with 2 Crazy Dogs!

I've been working with Murphy this morning, as we've been out and met a few friendly dog faces. Out of the 4 dogs, he only got violent with one.. a great dane

Yeh, very hard work! He thinks hes a hard man, when really he's scared.
