I currently have a 128gb force GT as my boot drive and a WD caviar black as a mass storage. I was thinking of getting another force GT but I wanted to know if there's anything else i should go for? Or are the force GT's still pretty good compared to other SSD's out there? Basically I am asking if the force GT's are obsolete yet?

Been thinking the same about my Force GT too. The price hasn't dropped much in the 2 years since I got mine and reviews suggest its still a very competitive SSD compared to current gen stuff. Just want a bigger 1 really.

I just replaced my Crucial M4 with a Samsung 840 Pro and there was a noticeable difference in performance and there's 2 years between these SSDs.

I was thinking about getting a 840 pro but not sure about what size to get. I heard the 256gb is faster then the 128gb is this true?

How about asking yourself the question "840 PRO 128GB or 840 EVO 250GB" ?

For about £35 more, you get a lot more capacity, virtually the same performance, but "only" 3 years warranty.

If going for the EVO 250GB makes sense (I think it does), then you might start to consider if it's worth the extra ~£40 for the PRO 256GB. That's a more difficult decision !
