I have some .avi files on my Pc i want to watch on my 360 downstairs. Can I burn them to a dvd/cd and they'll play ok? Ive tried this but the 360 doesnt seem to recognise the disc. Is there a particular way of burning the files?
I've used a few programs for streaming to my PS3 and from what ive found Media player is a pain to use at times and Tversity doesnt like HD files, pauses during playback.
I thought it was my network that was not up to the task for streaming hd... Then i discovered Twonkymedia, ease of install, no messing around and streams 1080p content with ease.
I tried burning the .avi files to a data cd and a dvd....neither worked, but they were recognised in my pc, not sure if it was a filesystem setting on burning that was the problem. That was using Brassero and K3B on Ubuntu. Ive now installed Ushare and that works to stream the files directly to the 360 thanks.
