For gaming, I wouldn't go beyond the 12700k below..performance is so close to the 12900k for games it's not worth it. I noticed you have rgb on everything so build below reflects that, but you pay for it. Also you had a 360mm aio so put a case that could take one in the top..there are others, but it's what I'm using and know it keeps things cool and there's lots of space to do what you want. I added 3 more side fans as intake to keep thing v. cool. Do not buy at these prices though! The 750W is minimum for 3080, I put a 850W in instead, and the crucial P5P is gen4 and faster that the 970 samsung. games are getting bigger all the time, so may be worth getting a 2nd nvme for storing games etc, such as a 1tb or 2tb SN550 to keep costs down a bit
Wasn't sure if there was a particular need for case you chose?, most modern cases don't have front bays anymore

If you want to save some money, without any loss in performance, you could go for a case like below, the ram has no rgb but same performance as above, and the arctic freezer2 240mmwill sit in the top..the rads are thicker on the arctic aio's so price/performance cant be beat, though looks are subjective. you could go arctic 360mm for above, but with thicker rad, can be tight fitting in top and not having mobo vrm's getting in the way..the lancool case can be had non rgb for £76 also, and save another£10 going non rgb aio. you could go for a msi pro a z690 d4 wifi board for £220 and save a bit more also, though I do like the tomahawk

Noticed the offer on the rm850 is gone...the 2021 rm850 is £109, or below is on offer but out of stock. Otherwise go for RM850X for £129..but getting pricey there, and know the RM1000X was offered at !130 the other day away..these all come with 10yrs warranty and good units, but below similar to the RX850X, so best price

Thanks for thr response Craig I appreciate it. I I shall look into what you said more I haven't had a PC since 2011 so not upto date with everything. The but what you say does make sense I do prefer the idea of saving money without losing any performance
