just curious as ive always gone with intel cpus but the ryzen chip looks awesome and is recommended in a lot of builds.

what are the comparisons in terms of.

i3/i5/i7/i9 into amds chip?

Depends what Intel chip you are comparing to what AMD chip and what the intended usage is... It's a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question.

general rule of thumb ryzen = more core count, lower clock speed. (if you compare R3 to I3, R5 to I5 etc.

in gaming terms Intel are generally ahead on FPS, however, it does depend a lot on what graphics hardware being used and what resolution.

for example if you have a 1080/1080TI and are gaming at 1080p the cpu will have a lot less impact on FPS.

Further to this AMD are a lot better value for money.
