Help

Ive been off two wheels for quite a while due to a balance issue but it's stablised enough for me to consider basic off road rides so I've been looking at a few options which I want to throw into the ocuk pot for your thoughts (good - bad - damn right ugly )

Budget wise up to £1200 (can be stretched if need be) which hopefully will get me something that I won't need to replace too quickly.

So I've looked at the following so far

http://www.evanscycles.com/products/cannondale/f29-carbon-29er-4-2015-mountain-bike-ec071441

Thanks for your help......

If it was me, I would spend 1000 on a second hand bike, and 200 on parts to make it mine :)

You will get a better bike, and have the chance to get it how you want it too.

That's for your thoughts but that's part of the problem as you could put three sets of spare / replacement parts in front of me and I wouldn't have a clue which would be best suited.

Then, buy a bike, ride it, and when you find bits you don't like, change them :) Second hand would be my choice purely because you will get a lot more bike for your money regardless.
I have built 4 bikes this year, from never building one before, anyone can learn to change parts easily enough!
It can seem like a daunting task but break anything down into logical steps, and it will make sense AND you will be learning how to fix your own bike in the process :D
