Was playing some PGR3 last night and created a custom match, within minutes the room was full and there were some good races, then someone called ScottyRep joined and started playing dirty. Pitting other racers and shouting down the mic. Idiot.

So next race I told everyone we'd have a class B RUF Turbo race, everyone was getting sick of the F50s. ScottyRep didn't change his car so I gave him a minute or two while the rest of us talked.

He still didn't change so I kicked him. The next thing I know I check my gamercard and 1 out of the 4 people I have met have rated me as aggressive lol!! Is there any way of seeing who gave me that rating? I'm pretty sure it was this Scotty bloke and I looked on the players list and gave him an unsporting conduct one back.

I'm not too fussed about my rep, I know I play fair and I don't abuse people on the microphone or swear. I'm probably the least aggressive person I know lol

Rant over.

LOL i know how you feel mate, i was racing on PGR3 with someone off ocuk and some random person joined, cant remember who i was racing off here, but we were both talking on the mic.

Anyway later that night, i checked my rating and i have a bad one for "trash talk" we wasnt swearing or being nasty or owt like that. Just chatting about daily life.

Paul ...

Mate, don't worry about it. You'll get this. There's a few of us that were bad-repped when we first got our 360's, and whilst at first I took it to heart, seriously it's not worth worrying over.

Truth is that only YOU can see 'why' you've been bad-repped, so if someone has said you're abbusive, bad language, cheat, quit early, etc, then only you will see it. Others will simply see the number of stars you have.

But you will get this in PGR3. If you console broadband crashed, power cut, then you'd be at risk of getting repped bad for quitting early, you just can't win.

Seriously mate, don't worry about, it sucks, but it's just something you're gonna have to accept and ignore.

agreed.

I think the best way forward is to get a good set of friends on your list and just invite them and make the game for friends only. Seems to be the only way of avoiding these lunatics

This is why it's so important to have a good friends list. I only play against people I know, unless it's a new game that no one's got. That way you build up a bit of a relationship with em, making it even better when you win :)

Dont worry about it, I got bad rep for 'bad language' before I had a headset..... work that one out! :)

It sucks sometimes, this guy nudged me off the track 3 times in a row each time I caught up and each time he did it again, on the 4th time I did it to him then got a 20secs lead on him. He was kicking, screaming and swearing because I nudged him....

lol @ MouseMat2004. Sounds like he got what he deserved to be honest. I have people who pit you and send you flying into walls, it's not how you race is it.

I have a fair few friends who I've added who seem to be quite a good bunch of people. I'm hoping I can add a few more on here so we can get some decent races in.

Got my first bad rep over the weekend. Thought I'd try a little bit of DOA online (I'd had a beer and seemed a good idea); joined a lobby where two guys obviously knew each other.

As soon as I entered I started getting abuse but took it on the chin. Started to try and figure out what to do to get a fight etc. when my wife came in and said she'd like a fight ;) lol so I said tata. Later I looked and saw I had been bad repped for antisocial behaviour...

Lol, hard not to take it personally; someone actually made the effort to give me a negative rep for not actually doing anything. Put me off trying again tbh.

It's made me realise I need more friends on my friends list. What's the etiquette for just adding a load of you OcUK guys?

Yeah I just got pgr3 two days ago. First race on live some guy keeps hitting me, then waits a lap to hit me and sits sideways in a narrow street in tokyo... I just thought well welcome to live.

But one good thing is if you are racing with a mate, start a private chat. Only he can hear you and vice versa. Kinda helps with the childish people trying to ruin your experience.

Best only to race OCUK people tbh, i find most other people are idiots............
Yep. I don't even look at player's rep now as it means sod all to me. Sadly I should rep people who I play with, but I always forget :/ Stick to trusted friends, or even the ocuk crowd and you should be fine tbh. PGR3's online career mode is like wading into a counterstrike public server.

At the end of the day its all juvinile carp, since your rep doesnt affect what games you can and cant join it makes no real odds except to your ego. When you race your friends always make sure you "prefer" each other, and try not to do anything that aggravates things like insults, try and apologise too whenever you pile into someone, it does help minimise the cack.

Altho you cant always help it, i was dominating the urban rally section the other day and everytime this guy (ranked similarily to me) got overtaken by me he'd start shouting "Hey man what the **** you doing! You cant drive can you, why'd you take the inside line thats such a cheat your using a wimpy SLR too" etc etc etc thats all he would say, then he resorted to trying to ram me at every corner, lost me a couple of races actually, but made it even sweeter when i continually beat him. In the end he was just spamming the mic and i found i had got some bad rep :( sucks but happens. End of the day its your gamer score and rank and not your attitude that is the measure of a gamer.
