I guess because Bicester isn't that far from Milton Keynes that some people here are unable to read the markings painted on the road. I got beeped at yesterday because I was turning left at a mini roundabout which has two lanes approaching, the left lane which was the lane I was correctly in has an arrow showing a left turn only marking in the road, the right lane shows a straight on arrow. Someone in the lane on the right was alongside beeping because they wanted to turn left. A wave at the child in the back of the car and a one finger salute from me to the driver and the C-Max had to go straight from the right lane which is marked as straight on.
I'm not sure quite how you're interpreting this but when I'm driving along in a lane to turn left and someone pulls up alongside because they want to be in that lane and starts beeping at me, how am I obstructing someone? I'd love to know how I was going out of my way to obstruct someone:So basically you willfully obstructed somebody who wished to make a legitimate lane change on the approach to a junction and you are surprised when they honked at you??

I'm in the left lane approaching this junction using indicators because I'm going to be turning left, a car pulls up alongside me from behind beeping because they want to be in the lane I'm in, perhaps if they were ahead of me and indicated left I'd have slowed down to give them room to move over, even flashing the lights to acknowledge that I'd seen them.
If I was the driver in the C-Max and I was approaching the junction in the wrong lane I would have slowed down to move across and indicated left, not approaching a vehicle from behind and beeping at it because I wanted that lane!
Just think of them as a retard, there's plenty of them around, surely they could have just gone right round the mini and turned right?I was a lone vehicle...

Video from today. Not sure how people think 2 cars can safely exit at the same time. I had to brake to prevent a collision.
Does look very tight, the roundabout is wide enough for 2 lanes, the exit is only just about agree.
Its really a merge then. (Because a car could be coming from the turn right of where you join, going 3/4 of the way round. They would arguably have priority since they would already be on the roundabout when you joined if you go to the exit at the same time. Although these tend to be no one is actually specifically given right of way.
It's tight to the point where if you both were side by side there would be car damage. I wonder how the insurance would see that.
I think the biggest issue is there is literally nothing on the road or roundabout to suggest you can use the right lane to go straight ahead, so why people do it and then everyone else has to make way for them just annoys me. The silver car ahead entered that road in what I would see as the normal road position, however they would be beeped if they did that and there was a car in the right lane thinking you'd just come into their "lane", even though there is only 1 lane.
If there are two lanes on the entry then unless marked otherwise both lanes can be straight ahead. However if there is not enough room on the exit they would be better having the hatched areas (from both lanes) making it clear its one lane on exit so merging is needed. The main issue seems to be terrible worn out road markings, something councils try to save money on.
I got beeped at yesterday evening by a WHITE VAN MAN!
At a set of lights, two lanes curves round to the right and remains two lanes. Not wide lanes either and there's a large lorry with trailer approaching on my left as the light turn green. I could boot it past and join lane 1 but choose not to and instead take caution and wait for the lorry to pass the bend as he needs considerable space to navigate the bend with his trailer attached. The WHITE VAN MAN behind me beeps, not a short beep, but a long beep. My passengers are equally as confused...
The lorry driver successfully completes the move and gets in lane. He signals his lights to say thanks. The WHITE VAN MAN still behind me. I then decided I wasn't going to be a part of his politics and booted it into the sunset
Consider this, even if I did pass the lorry first and merge in, the WHITE VAN MAN would not have been in a position to accelerate quick enough to pass the lorry taking the bend so would have caused a commotion. I did him a favour tbh.
Oh well.
I don't know why I all capsed WHITE VAN MAN, kind of committed the first time so stuck with it![]()
