Looking at getting full bike licence and wondering if anyone has managed to do it outside of doing a 4-5 day course that costs in excess of £600. I know some clubs used to provide training to thier members to help them but I have yet to look and ask around. Has anyone here gone outside the norm and got training elsewhere?

Background: was riding a few 125s for 5 years day in day out, regardless of weather. It's been about 6 years since then (now 29) and I've missed it ever since, so want to sort out full licence and get a bike (say SV650s)

Cbt is 100 or so here and have been quoted 630 for a 4 day course. Thinking ill see what bike clubs are around and see if they offer anything cheaper

Started looking around for alternatives to the intensive courses and found THIS. At £30 for 3 hours (inc bike hire) I think it's much more manageable, especially when I dont have a lot of cash to put in to it right now

that does seem very good. May be a good idea toask them how much they'll charge for Mod 1+ Mod 2. £30 for 3 hours is really good, but it'd even out if they're charging stupid prices for tests, although in theory it doesnt take 3 hours to do the test so may be just the same price and you would pay and book for your own tests.

I don't think they actually do the tests as they are an MMC that just offer the training from what I can see, but if I could use thier bike for the tests as well it would work out a fair bit cheaper I recon.
