Getting BSOD on WMP

When i close WMP after finishing a movie the computer BSOD all of a sudden, or i find the comp freezes when i alt tab to main desktop. It hasnt been doing this until recently any ideas???

If movie is a AVI/MKV/etc file could be a Codec problem. Try re-installing or installing latest codec pack.

Could also try re-installing WMP (here)
