any way to pay virgin to add cabling to my house from their nearest exchange, or is this out of reach? my exchanges FTTC has been pushed back from 31st march to september next year.

currently on 4Mb/s.

i wouldnt mind paying a few hundred, or even more to get virgin to cable me up.

i dont think it works that way, i'd be the same of you if i was stuck with 4mbp, then again that's still pretty good compared to some people in the countryside with 256kbp :o
how is it your in london and your not able to get above 4mbp btw? or is it my ignorance to think london was all "hooked up" with fast internet speeds.

each town inlondon has an exchange, shame im in the middle of 2, but a good 2km away from each

thanks for that website. shame no one in my exchange can get it, so i doubt i will be able to. will fire off an email never the less.

Londons cabling network is (In some areas) patchy at best, owing mainly in part to the original franchise owner for the area "Cable London" and then Telewest not investing in upgrades of the network when expansion in other parts of the country was going ahead.

I believe some parts of London did not get Digital cable TV untill a while after everyone else. NTL did carry out some upgrades but strangely for a capital, it's cabling network is probably one of the weakest in the country in some parts.
