I have had my broadband with O2 since Christmas and have been relatively pleased with it, I have had a few random drops but they were only brief and weeks apart so nothing really to worry about.

This weekend however has been a bit of a nightmare, I had my first drop out yesterday at exactly 13.35, the connection was up and down for the next few hours before settling down in the evening. This morning has been fine but again at 13.35 the problems have started, more drops and its starting to annoy me.

I have spoked with O2 who to the credit did run some diagnostics with me even though using a 3rd party router, because of this though there was only so much they could advise before the suggestion of swapping the Netgear with the BeBox came up.

Anyone got any ideas? I have flashed the firmware of the router to the latest on the Netgear site. I will try switching the routers around if I don't have any success this afternoon but I thought it was worth a try asking on here before getting the BeBox out.

Edit: It's worth mentioning as well that when I get a drop out the routers lights stay green

Try resetting the router to default and also make sure that the routers not logging everything as I've heard of problems when the log gets filled causing the connection to drop. Also these routers can suffer from heat related problems so make sure it properly ventilated and lastly the PSU blocks they use can sometimes go with time causing this type of problem.

Last thing when it goes does drop have you logged onto the router to confirm that it is the WAN connection that's been dropped?
