Getting fed up with Adium

Hi guys,

Recently I switched from Mercury to Adium as due to a new router I can't get Mercury to sign in.

Nevermind, now I've never really like Adium, found it to be just annoying in general...but the sounds have been turned off...so I'm getting used to it. But ever since now I get all these random convos popping up sayin

"Hi, come and look at my sexy pics and cam" chucks a link in then the convo ends.

Ive never had this on Mercury of Microsoft Messenger, neither of which I can use

Any ideas folks?

I've had a look at all the privacy options in Adium and can't find a way you can solve that (other than blocking some of your contacts that might have a virus which displays that pop up) but another good messaging client to try is Proteus. See if it still happens in that.
