Hey guys,

I want to book tickets for a gig at the O2 in London, however I need to be sure how to get home and if the tube/boat/etc will be running after the concert finishes. The tub looks like it stops at around midnight and the boats apparently get crammed after gigs.

Anyone know if this is extended for concert nights? I have no idea what time it finishes.

When I have been to the 2 concerts I went to at the o2, the tube trains kept running until everyone who was in the queue got one one. They just send the trains back and forward to pick everyone up, and there are marshalls at the station making sure everyone gets home safe.

i went to matter at the weekend and had the longest journey home ever, bare in mind we got out about 6, had to get a bus into central and then get the first tube home from holborn.

watch out because if the gig is on the weekend, chances are the jubillee line will NOT be working.

Does anyone know what time concerts finish?

Seeing Lady GaGa on Friday at 02 in London...it starts at 6.30 but she prob won't come on till later...but need to go to a friends birthday afterwards....

A lass in our production team got stuck in town this weekend after seeing a gig at the O2. She wasn't pleased (and she was on one of the first boats over). Best idea if you can afford it is to get a hotel room (if you don't need to be at work the next day or don't live in/around London).

That's the problem. I need the tube or boat to get to the hotel :p

Possibly a better question. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel for the night that is easy to get to from the O2? Max spend is £150. At the moment I'm looking at Hilton Docklands Riverside but I reckon it might be difficult to get back to after the concert.

Hilton Docklands Riverside is nearish to the 188 route which is 24hrs from the O2, or you can get to Canada Water tube on it or a couple of other buses from North Greenwich and then get the N381 from there. Decent hotel as well. There's a Holiday Inn Express right near the O2 too...

Keep checking the tfl site for the weekend works.

Lots of testing still going on with the new signalling system on the Jubilee line so your evening could be fine if it's only a Stanmore - waterloo/Greenpark closure, or you could be royally screwed if it's the whole line.

If anyone is living south of Kennington with their tennancy up for renewal then consider moving away from the Northern Line as closures will start April/May time ;)

good laugh, only complaint is that the only drink on "offer" were bacardi breezers - how does anyone manage to keep that sugar water down, i'll never know.

SMD were awesome though!
