Getting into a deceased persons phone

Appreciate there’s a potential for nefarious reasons here, so mods if it’s not ok please delete but know it’s a genuine question for genuine reasons.

I’m trying to get into a Samsung phone, not sure of the model. I’ve done some searching and some recommendations seem to involve “I’ve forgotten my pin”, but I can’t find this option on the Lock Screen.

We don’t have access to the gmail account so can’t do the find my phone website reset.

I don’t want to take it to a Samsung dealer because the only thing they can do is hard reset the phone.

That suggests a court order but only in the states. Perhaps we truly are stuffed then, that would be very sad.

Had to do with myself once when asked to try and get into a deceased persons phone that was also a Samsung. With USB debugging (must have been enabled before losing PIN) there's a small chance to get access to the data but without it there's no way. Even with a reset the PIN will still be needed due to FRP.

Aye sadly debugging wasn’t enabled it seems and it’s an impossible task, at least for mere mortals. Thanks anyway.
