Getting into Windows without its password?

My Dad just phoned and asked if I can do this, basically he bought a laptop on credit or something for my sisters ex, now he didn't pay for said computer so he went and got it back because he'd rather have it himself than him have it and not pay. All really silly but any way I can get into the lappy? the ex has "lost" all the discs/backup discs and whatever that came with it so just bypassing the PW would make it simples. I'm pretty sure its running win7 if that makes a difference!
