Getting iOS7 onto my iphone :)

iPhone 5, doesn't crash for me doing so but does stutter scrolling up and down.

Did you install iOS 7 by restoring the phone or updating? Because I think you get that error if you restore the phone with iOS 7.



Yeah I think that makes it feel even faster



As Mr Bell said - It's looking like we'll have one more beta version in a couple of weeks, then the GM should be ready. So maybe a month until we have a silky smooth GM

No that was on update not restore.

I have no idea why its doing it?

going to give beta 5 a shot. Since updating the latest os6 my iphone has but running really hot and the battery draining really fast

Anyone? Even if sent via trust, will give e-cookie. I tried it myself but the file I got wouldn't work.

I'm pretty sure I covered this early in the thread, best bet if you're completely new to this would be to go watch a youtube guide.

I'm sure all I need to do is get the right .ipsw file and I'll be good to go but I can't find a non developer download lol, I've tried the obvious google searches as well.

That's your problem, the downloads are all the same, you have to trick the phone into activating. You restore your phone back to the latest iOS6 version via a restore on itunes, when it boots up do nothing, just force the update to iOS7 then and it'll activate.

Quick question!

My iphone is on 3 in the uk and is mode no. A1429. When I go to download the beta it lists A1429 as CDMA and A1428 as GSM.

Do I just download the A1428 GSM version?

I went with the A1429 and it worked.

ios 7 is lovely! So sleek and nice to look at, very happy with it.

Took the plunge to Beta 5 tonight.

Already found a bug - anyone else getting this?

Go to Phone or Contact. Edit a contact with an address. I get a crash just as the address field comes into view. Doesn't happen with contacts with no address.

Using Ipad 2, and no bug here. Will install on my iPhone 5 next week.

Yes I know that. I was just confused as the beta version said A1429 CMDA. I just assumed that it should be GSM for the UK version

Click on Albums and its exactly the same as the old one.

It kinda mirrors iPhoto and how that builds collections

Decided to give it a go now its reported that Twitter app works properly yet it isnt for me the controls along the bottom dont respond to touch at all, same for everyone else?
Other then that, liking iOS7
