Getting iOS7 onto my iphone :)

Does anyone else feel like they've made the music app dramatically worse? How I get to my music is to view by artist then select an album. Doing that in iOS7 isn't possible. When you select an artist it treats all their songs as one gigantic album. It's really annoying to have to browse through albums (of which there are a lot more than there are artists) if I want to hear 1 album by an artist on shuffle.
 
I just googled and found a download of the latest iOS 6 for the mini and then ran iTunes restore showed it the file and it did the rest. Once done I logged in and did an I cloud backup which restored everything back to how it was before I upgraded.

6 runs so much better on the mini.

It is still a massive ugly grey bar just now it has an annoying blured colour tone to it. It is the size that gets me more than the colour it feels huge and clunky!

iOS 7 runs perfect on mine :p
 
Try putting them in a folder then choose "Reset homescreen layout" in Settings > General.

In iOS 6 it would reset the stock apps, but also sort your apps A-Z :)
 
I like it. But I don't like the spotlight search. I use that a lot and now find it hard to access. I also don't like the white backgrounds on mail / messenger / calendar / notes. Would much prefer black.

I was about to say exactly the same.. my mini is obviously more betterer than yours.

No, you find it unfamiliar to access, pressing the home button and swiping from the middle isn't hard.

Also, they never had a black option before, it was always white or some gacky light blue iirc certainly on mail and messages?

I feel like I'm defending this a lot, full disclosure.. I use iOS on my ipad and mini but I'm not a big tablet user but I'm a full time android phone user, I just think a lot of the criticism is a bit hysterical, somehow apple seem to have managed to make apple fanboys hate them now too which is quite an achievement.

Man the pitchforks etc..
 
I like the way iPhone apps running on my iPad mini now use the Retina resolution. My bank application is now crisp and Instagram fuzzy is gone.

A nice refreshing change for me. Does feel like a new phone.

I just don't really 'get' all the criticism. Seems like they can't do right for wrong for some people here.

Some people are just happy to bob along with what they have, not happy to learn about any improvements and try them out before jumping on the bandwagon after 30 seconds.

It's not like you never knew it was coming...and I presumed you, that are moaning, read about it before installing right?

If things never changed we'd still be living in caves.

Get over it, and as stated above, you're just unfamiliar with it.
 
Anyone else having iMessage issues - my e-mails address is fine but I cannot verify my phone number, I keep getting the waiting for activation

Working fine for me but a couple of other people I know are having the same fault as you
