So i currently have a 3700x and a x470 Gigabyte gaming 7 wi fi, had it nearly a year and thinking of moving on again, I went to Ryzen from a i7 7800x which didnt make much difference tbh.
It is probably boredom for my reasons for having a change again.
Was thinking of going with the new intel and z490 but looking at reviews they don't seem to be much of an upgrade at all.
Would be interested to see what your guys opinions are on the new intel chip choices. And any ideas what i could do to improve my all ready great performance. Do we know if the new ryzens will fit in the x470 motherboard I have, as to be honest it is probably the best board I have had for many a year, and I have had a few!.
Any way your views will be much appreciated.

liking the look of the new x570 tomahawk board, sounds like a good board for the price point. May get that for now and then get the new ryzen when in comes out later this year so at least I will be ready for it in case my board wont support it properly. I have read that it should support it with a bios update but its a one way bios flash and you wont be able to go back, thats not good if i want to sell it on.

Any one managed to buy the tomahawk and is it as good as they are saying?

This. As others have said just wait for Ryzen 4000 or the next GPUs.
yea thats what I will do but tbh don't see myself getting rid of the 1080ti for a while. Its still a beast of a card and its not even a year old yet. If money was not an issue then yea I would upgrade that as well but for the price of a 2080ti in todays prices then god knows what the next top card is going to be priced at ;)
