Getting Mail back from Previous System...

So seeing as the whole Time Machine thing didn't do ANYTHING to restore my system, im just going to have to put everything back together bit by bit on it.

First problem...getting my mail back...relatively simple thing...but..for what ever reason..Mail just doesn't see the data, absolutely nothing..even tho I can go into the Old in box, preview and look at all the mail, and everything, yet it just says theirs nothing there to import.

The actual email file should be in ~/Users/cu3ed/Library/Mail. It will either be an .mbox file or .emlx if newer version of OS X [later than Tiger].

Once you have that perhaps you can import it into the new copy of Mail.

Yep, in that =folder is my hotmail account folder....has all my emails in it...but it wont imprt them...says theirs nothing their..as you can see from the screen shot...it is an mbox format folder.

Jesus F I cant even get my iPhot library to swap over to my old one...WTF is with these things?...think ill be departing the land of mac VERY soon.

You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.

What does that even mean....its the same ******* VERSION!

Import data from Apple Mail instead, the top option not the bottom.

UPDATE: Mail thing sorted, resatrted worked under the Apple selection!

On another note, now that im starting again, how do I go about getting my iPhone apps , iPad etc working as usual with iTunes?

No App section showing under Library in iTunes now when the iPhone is connected up.

Unfortunately I have no answers for your next question as I don't have an iPad or iPhone. Sorry. I hope you find someone as good as me.

In all seriousness I only knew because I had to restore Mail myself yesterday.
