I have had my site up and running for over 2 months now and we have got 24 members in our forums so far. I would dearly love to try and get more, but I have run out of ideas about how to attract people to it.

I am running a competition and to enter all you have to do is join the forums. Also I have banner adverts running in rotation on the site about joining the forums. I also keep the site content fresh and updated everyday, and the forum itself is quite active even though the numbers arn't particularly high atm.

Any ideas how I can attract more members?

Fixing the registration process might help.

I just clicked thrugh, tried to register, clicked on I am over 13 and got the message. "Sorry, but this username has already been taken". I didnt even get a chance to enter a username.

Thats using Firefox if it makes any difference. Just checked, not its bust in IE too.

Theres one member you've just lost, wonder how many more have attempted and failes.

aww crap. :S ...thats really odd. Thanks mate, dread to think how many we have lost from that.

Stupid PHPBB add on, the PHPNuke signup on the left hand side in the users block works. Will fix it now, cheers dude.
