Hay guys.

I can only seem to oc the 2180 to 3ghz stable so far with temps at idle 23 and full load around 46

multiplier x10

voltage is at 1.39 (so sort of high already ?

I thinking maybe its my motherboard ?

(GA-P31-DSL3) not updated the bios or anything not sure how to really lol

What are your other voltages? Also you tried loosening the RAM/dropping a divider? How are you testing it as "stable"? Sorry this is all more Qs than As but I'd rather not spam you with generic advice, thats what google's for.

I have had a E2180 to 3.6Ghz prime stable on the P31 DS3L. It's a fantastic board. Voltage is fine as it's a 65nm cpu. Try 1.45v vcore but don't forget you may need to increase NB volts slightly as well. Make sure your ram is within it's limits and set to the correct timings and volts as well. Don't forget that as you increase the fsb you also increase the ram speed so you will have to adjust the memory multiplier and dram frequency as well.
