Heyas, I was wondering if anyone knew any tweaks for wine, or drivers, or anything that might improve my performance in Linux with Wine gaming.

I only play WoW, but get terribad FPS, it plays worse than on my laptop with a 4330, and SU7300... As you can see from my spec in sig, it's more than capable of getting good FPS. I've done the reg edit entry, running WoW in lowest of the low with no purdies turned on, but still getting ~20-30FPS.

So, any input welcome.

I'm currently running #! with latest wine\ati drivers, and WoW is running from my linux partitions.

Thanks

WoW is supposed to run brilliantly through Wine... some say even better than Windows. Hmm.

For starters, the latest drivers aren't necessarily the best. Use EnvyNG to find what should give the best performance.

I used the envyng ones, didn't work at all, WoW was heavily glitchy with the graphics, so much so that it was almost like beign on acid playing it.

all the guides are pretty much the same, and include a "copy\run from windows" section which I've done.. I'll try doing a fresh install of WoW on teh lunix macheen when I get home this weekend. But I was hoping more in-wine tweaks or something..
