Hi Everyone, im currently running my 3500 venice at 2588 Mhz, with ram @ 215.

This is all at 1.6 Volts, if i up the overclock anymore, say 2599 mhz, the pc isnt stable, and locks up during counter strike source.

at full load, my cpu gets to 35oc,

Basically what im trying to ask, is would it be extremly stupid of me to go past 1.6 volts...

I just want to put 1.7, or 1.8 volts through this cpu and see whether i can get 2.6 or maybe 2.7 stable :)

Dont put any more through the cpu, or you will experience the phenomena knows as 'meltingcpu'.

And larok means 2.8v

Hi,

vCore isn't always the answer to hitting a higher overclock, have you tried:

Reducing the memory frequency through the dividers, so its running totally in spec

Reducing the CPU frequency through the dividers, and pushing the HTT to see if your mobo/chipset is able to cope?
