I'm pulling my hair out with iTunes.... This is what I did, and I can see it wasn't the best plan...but anyway...

I have ripped albums on my NAS in flac, so converted a few to MP3 in temp folder on my PC (W7)... Then dragged and dropped them directly onto the iPad via iTunes.... So they were directly copied, not added to library etc.... All worked I was happy....and I deleted the temp files off the PC !!!!(bad move)

Now, picked up a refurb iPOD classic video off the bay, to leave in the car, as it has a dock under the seat.

I would like to copy the music off the iPad, to the PC, or into iTunes Library, so I then can sync/copy to the iPod.

Will iTunes let me, will it fully star out swearies like !!!!! only option I have is to sync the iPad, which will delete the music and replace it with the library contents in iTunes...
I can see the music on the iPad with iTunes, but can't drag it, copy it or send it any where.... Windows explorer of coarse isn't allowed to see the files either !!!!

Am I missing something obvious or do I need to rip/convert again and this time kneel before iTunes and let it do only what Apple wants me to do and add it all to the library first ????

If you bought music from iTunes
1) Connect the ipad but don't sync it
2) Right click the iPad and select transfer purchases from this iPad

If you didn't
1) Download a 3rd party program to do it via google.

That's sweet :) ...... Job done, music back on the PC and added to the library now.... Just a shame I can't use FLAC... :( .....

Why is everything you want to do, Apple gets in the way, and has controlled what and how you do or don't do it.... Really don't like the ridged iTunes/Apple set-up.... has caused me more frustration and head scratching in the last couple of weeks owning my first Apple product (iPAD2) than the last 15 years of a PC's !!!!
