Getting My 360 On Live

hey guys

Ive had my 360 for about 7 months and all the time ive had broadband but havnt bothered to get on live. My mate just got it and i love it!

The only thing is i dont really want any fancy wireless crap as my 360 is right next to my pc anyway. Im with homecall ISP at the moment and i got a crappy speed touch modem with the service. Now i know i need a router or something but im totally useless. Can anyone tell me what router i should get so i can get on live? Also can i get on live without the need of a pc?

budget £20-£50 MAX!

im using a linksys wrt54gs wireless router, its same as yours..right on my computer desk so i connect it all up, turn off wireless in router settings.

works perfect!
 
What do i need to get off my ISP to connect the router up properly? Is there lots of codes and stuff i need or do i just get the router, install drivers and im away?
 
i didnt need anything.

just connect router to modem, router to pc, rouetr to 360 (so thats like 3 ethernet wires i believe, you should have 1 with modem, 1 with 360 and one should come with the router) basically thats all :)
