Getting my BT Home Hub 2.0 to operate at Wireless "N"

Evening all,

I am trying to get my home hub 2.0 to run at full wireless N speeds.

The only thing connected wireless at the moment is the Mrs' laptop. Her laptop has a wireless N card installed but still I am only getting an actual speed of 54Mbps.

Is there something im missing here?

Have you tried going into settings and checking which mode is being used ? I know the home hub 3 has a mixed mode.

Try reconnecting the laptop to the network and see if that fixes it.

Can I ask, what is the reason for wanting N standard speeds ? improve download speeds ? file transfers ?

Sometimes my PC which has an N standard card installed will run at 54Mbps, when this happens, I find that disconnecting and reconnecting to the network often solves it.
