Getting my license back soon after Dangours Driving Ban

A forced retest is usually declared as part of the penalty. If you were outide of the 2 year provisional period and weren't told in court you had to resit your test, I am pretty sure you can just re-apply for your licence. (so what OAP said then).

Appears dangerous driving has an automatic retest according to http://www.drivingban.co.uk/drivingoffencespenalties.htm

A quick google says

dangerous driving

maximum penalty

This may be dealt with in either the Magistrates’ Court or the Crown Court.
The Magistrates’ Court must disqualify for at least 12 months and can sentence up to a maximum 6 months imprisonment.

The Crown Court can sentence up to 2 years imprisonment.

Both Courts must order that an extended re-test is taken.

Unlucky.

(I'm not being sarcastic either - I was banned this year so I sympathise.)

Two years for DR30.

Actually, how strange that dangerous driving, and even causing death by dangerous driving, only has to stay on your licence for four years, whereas all drink related convictions have to stay on for 11 years. Yet the former requires a mandatory re-test, implying that it is more serious?

LOL. It was all over the Forum's Two year's ago. As for Valver. not Yet. I've just let a Ph1 16V Cabrio go.

A driving licence 'ban' IS a suspension.

Were you living in a cave at the time

as Mr P says it was hot topic at the time. Ive not visited RR for awhile, how come you had to get rid of the Cabby? Also good luck with getting your license back.
