getting my nvidia gpu to do over 85hz

I just recieved my Alienware m11x. Now, as you know these little beauties house an Nvidia gt335 graphics card.....great!

My problem lies with the refresh rates these cards let me do (when I have my CRT plugged in as an external monitor). The refresh rate is capped at 85hz. Does anybody know a way I can raise this? (I like to game at 100-120hz).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure the screen is even capable of that?

yeh, absolutely, if i use my main pc (ATI HD4890) - i can get upto 160hz @ 640x480, 120hz @ 800x600.

You can try adding a custom resolution/refresh rate through the nVidia control panel or use a tool to build a custom monitor definition file (rivatuner can do this) or use a tool to force the refresh rate (powerstrip, etc. tho not sure if that works with vista/win7).

Well, none of those programs worked, same with the NVIDIA Control Panel
