Hi all, going to order a netbook tomorrow, and was wondering if the HP Mini 311 is still considered one of the best?

I would want to upgrade the memory to 3GB too, so which memory on OCUK would I need?

I read not so long ago about newer ATOM processors, and dual core netbooks, are there any out or coming soon that have the dual core, with ION, and still similar in size to the 311? Don't want to get something that turns out to basically be an expensive and slow low end laptop due to it's close size to one, but still want to play HD/flash video and some oldish games.

Thanks

EDIT: My stepdad has a Philips Freevents x56, which isn't much bigger than the 311, comes with dual core, 12.1 screen and Intel GMA950 graphics, would I be better off finding one of them somehow, or stick with the 311? Not sure if GMA950 is as good as ION or not, or if the extra weight and size would be worth any marginal speed increase.

The GMA950 is really not up to gaming at all. The ION (which is basically a Geforce 9400M) is vastly better but is still only suitable for light gaming.

The Asus 1201N is the first netbook to have both dual core Atom and ION. It is slightly bigger than the 311 and battery life takes a bit of a hit. The Asus is also quite a bit more expensive than the 311. I think there is a review on the web comparing the gaming performance of the two.
