Hey,

I'm intending to upgrade to an i7 but seeing as the new sandybridge is having problems i'm stuck between buying this rig(I have case/gpu/SSD)

Or waiting for better sandybridge boards

Thinking about changing the board for either a Asus P6X58D-E or a Asus Rampage II Extreme

What would you guys do? Wait for the new sandybridge mobos?
Any idea when they're coming in.

The PCs going to be used to gaming, maybe trifire as I happen to have 3 5850s

Explain to me the actual problem.

I know that the 6gb/s ports are unaffected.
I have 1 160gb SSD, 1 1tb storage drive and a sata CD/dvd drive.

I would put my HDD/SSD on the sata3 ports for safety adn the DVD drive on the others.

What you mean by 1st year advance replacement? So when it gets fixed I can get it replaced to a newer fulyl functional one?

The advanced replacement only matters if I get the problem?

Should I just go for the i5 2500k instead?
There is a 50% chance I could be doing trifire so I don't know if i'll need the i7 just for more ooomph

You're a god amongst men!
In such few replies you've helped me so much :D
Well looks like i'm going crossfire as even the most expensive Asus board only supports crossfire. I'm stuck between this one Asus P67 Sabertooth and this one Asus P8P67

Could you tell me if I need the sabertooth or not?

Thanks again!

Right so i've got the
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
i5-2500k 3.3ghz OEM (As i'm buying another cooler)
Titan Fenrir ( Anything better for the same price? £33)
corsair HX850w
corsair XMS3 2x2gb 1600mhz ram
