On Tuesday I phoned O2 to end my contract and get a PAC code to transfer my number to my shiny new N95 on T-Mobile. I was told that the code would be issued and texted to my phone within 48 hours. Alas it's not here today - I just phoned O2 again and was told that although he had a record of the code being requested it "hadn't been generated yet" and would be sent to me by post within 5 days. Anyone else had trouble getting a PAC code out of them? I was under the impression that they had to give one within 48 hours! Am I being fobbed off?
(Quite ironic that a search for "O2 PAC Code 48 hours" gives me an O2 webpage telling me that if you're transferring to O2, "Call your current mobile operator and request your PAC code. They should provide this there and then under OfCom regulations.")
