Hi guys, need a bit of advice here. first let me give you a list of kit. PC is in my sig.

TV is an LG OLED55C8PLA
Amp is a Denon X3400H

Other kit to consider...
TP-Link RE650 Range Extender (wifi - being delivered today!)
Purchase of a switch box?
Buy a Steam link?
Any other recommendations?

My setup can handle 4K UHD and I am wondering the best way to get the best signal from my PC to my TV. Do I go through the AV amp or hook it up directly to the TV. I am considering running cat 6/7 from bedroom, out the wall and down the outside drilling in through the wall in the living room and having a switch with the AV kit.

Many thanks.

I've used HDMI over Cat5e extenders in the past, but that was only for 1080p and were quite expensive at the time.

Looks like TV has HDCP 2.2 Ports, as highlighted in above review, Nvidia shield be able to stream sound as well! also HDR , dont think Steam Link can handle HDR streaming ...

Thanks very much guys. Don't know a great deal about Nvidia Shield. Will look into. I know a hard wire is going to be far better than wifi but will give it a go. ;)
