Getting plaster residue off skin

Decided to let my wound breath this weekend now work is finished, however getting the sticky crap off left by the plaster is proving to be a bit of an issue.
I used the extra sticky material type plasters instead of the newer "breathable" ones.
I've ran out of alcohol wipes but they didn't do a very good job anyway.
Savlon wont touch it,
Nail varnish remover wont touch it.

Am I going to have to resort to Mustard


Nothing too violent can be done with it in case I re open my gash

My nan used to use petrol on me to get that stuff off. Loved the smell..!

See you've managed with thinners - otherwise acetone-based nail varnish remover would probably work
