Went over the black trim slightly when polishing my car so have red stains on trim. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? (its really bugging me :D)

Would WD40 do it?

As above, although I use Autoglym bumper care for the job myself. Some people seem to think it's too greasy/messy, but I've had no such problems. Use a bit of car sponge instead of a cloth, and apply it sparingly - works great for me.

Cheers guys, will try some WD40 tommorow and if that fails ill buy some autoglym stuff.

try peanut butter before buying AG. The oils will lift the residue and allow you to remove it. Might need to reclean the car to remove all the peanut butter but it does work.

I had great results with neat car shampoo worked into the area, and cleaned off.

Most vinyl/bumper care products will just dye it, and it'll come back by the time the product has been washed off.
