My current system plays all the games i need it to but i think i will need some better HW for GTA-V, i dont want to do a full system upgrade so it a new CPU and GFX card

right now i have
AMD FX-4100
2 x MSI GTX460 Hawk's

i know AMD's a bad place to be but am not going intel on this system. i also know i have 3 months till GTA is out??? but i dont want to have a 400 bill the day before i get the game.

first i was going to get a new CPU them wait a month or so on the GFX as cpu price's cant go much lower? but with the new cards before the game comes out i think there is a better deal to have?, do we know the system requirement for the game, because if i dont need to buy new stuff i wont :P

anyway any advice on CPU / GFX and best times to but.

THANKS

You have closer to 7 months until GTA hits consoles and, as far as I'm aware, they still haven't confirmed that they're working on a PC version.

Assuming it ever does come to PC I'd hold off until nearer the time. The same amount of money will buy you more the longer you can leave it.

wait until at least july until the newer intel sockets and cpus are out, as your in no rush now to have it, bide your time and see what comes out, socket and cpu first, then game later anyway

I stand corrected on the PC version then, there was a lot of hassle a few months ago as nothing had been mentioned on that front except "it's up for consideration".

Either way, console release date is 17/9/13 and judging by GTA IV we could expect the PC version a few months later.

By that time we should be looking at a whole new generation of CPUs and GPUs.
