As my Hexcore Amd 1055T 95w and Sabre-tooth 990fx board should arrive tomorrow - tonight's work was to transplant my 775 q6600 / asus dlx board out of my Antec 900 case and into the nameless cheap black case I got some time in the past along with the cooler and PSU as they are all being replaced. :)

My quad core system along with a nice 4850 Radeon card / old SATA 500gb hd and IDE!!! DVD/RW is going to my daughter who is 11 and into Minecraft - should be a nice rig for her first PC (better than my old p150 overclocked to p200 speed with a Voodoo 1)

Anyway here's some piccies:

Quad transfered into old case:

Front of the new case with fan controller (but no fans) - lol at the missing front bit

My empty Antec 300 and 5850 ready for hexcore!!!

Hope my OC and 2nd hand gear arrive tomorrow now my new specs will be.....
Asus Sabretooth 990FX Motherboard
95w Phenom II 1055T oc'd to 4ghz (hopefully)
Gellid Tranquillo
64gb Crucial SSD
2 x RAID 0'd WD 500gb 7200 drives
Sony DVDRW
ATI 5850 Saphire Extreme
600W OCZ PSU
Logitec Speakers
19" Dell Ultrasharp (old school version)
Windows 7 Home Premium
Wireless N TPLink PCI card
A set of hardwired homeplugs incase the wifi drops

I also have 4 Antec tri switch 120mm fans coming to spread between the 2 builds to keep everything nice and cool.
A pretty nice all rounder I would say -- I think my next upgrade will probably be my monitor - I would like a 24" next

Also removed this from the old case....an old AM2 board....and AMD duel core 5200 I think????

Good job, I'd of liked a Rig like that at 11. :)

Can the CPU cooler get any closer to the PSU? Haha!

Im sure you will enjoy the step up. What is the main reason you went for The AMd hexcores over Bulldozer or Sandybridge?

I am tempted up upgrade to a Hexcore at some point.
