Just installed my boost gauge, ok so it aint done proper yet but its in and it reads.

Just had a test got 14psi in 4th which made 270bhp on the rollers.

Very short and crap vid. :p

First time I have ever really done any work on my car, just as I was going for my test run the post man came with my MBC. :D

Job for sunday I think though.

Nice.

My only work for the RR day will be wash, wax and hoover
but this weekend I will hopefully be de-tangoing the front lights. As long as I can get a couple of silver/orange indicators

270bhp and you didn't even have a boost gauge

When is this RR? Wont get my car back from the garage till next weekend.

there are others travelling from your neck of the woods, its not THAT far, for example, its 150ish miles from me and I dont consider that too far

Nope, was running stock boost so didnt really need one.

For a Rev1/2 yes.

Standard psi for a rev3 is 13psi I think so im boosting slightly higher than standard. Could just be the rollers giving me a nice figure though.

Need to get someone in the car to test it with me cause looking at a gauge and the road isnt ideal.

13 psi is what, 0.9 bar?

if its like the GT4 you'll have the VSV that'll give you 0.5bar in 1st and 0.9 everywhere else.

Wasn't there a suspicion the MRT got a generous atf figure at the last RR anyway? Or am I getting the wrong car?

Dont know if it was mine, I have that it on a few rollers now it gets between 260 and 270.

Maybe it was the Focus ST you were thinking about?

Yep got to disconnect that when my manual controller goes in.

0.965264 ;)

sounds like you have what i have, a £25 relief valve :p

make sure you plug the line to the VSV rather than just disconnecting it - it was a ******* to get to on the GT4 - had to remove half the intake stuff.

i wish RRs wouldn't give ATF figures, they are usually rubbish.

£17 grainger valve. :)

I have read that you can either plug the tubes with screws or take out the electric plug for it. :)

My car has always made over 200 at the wheels. :) apart from Powerstation ;)

grainger isn't a bleed valve is it?

relief > bleed.

disconnecting the electrics is a bigger pain in the bum, it also apparently can cause the ECU to go a bit funny. Mine has a screw in the pipe, do you have the CT20 or CT26 turbo?

260bhp from a 2 litre at only 0.9 bar.

I need around 1.2 bar for that kind of power.
1.2 bar is ment to take the Rev3 MR2 to around the magic 300 mark. :D

CT20b, my engine is pretty much the same as yours bar a few things.
