getting rid of dust?

Hi, I have a lot of dust in my room but when I dust it away it just comes back. Any tips on getting rid of it?

Would these work, using one of those dusters that collect dust or hoovering? Which would be most effective at stopping dust for long periods of time?

You cant stop dust accumulating - you just have to keep on top of it.
 
Try not to shed too much and creep about the house so as to not disturb what's in the carpet.
 
Seriously just hoover more, it stops too much building up on the floor (especially in the carpet) and you don't kick it up all over everything else.
 
Some rooms just gather lots of dust...e.g. got 2 bedrooms with windows facing a busy road, and can't avoid getting dust in. Maybe an air purifier is in order here too.
