Last night I noticed that my EOS 350d has developed a hot pixel towards the middle of the sensor, needless to say I was not particularly happy!.
So today, I did a quick search for what to do and came across this handy tip on dpreview.com
Just incase anyone has not come across this before :
With a lens fitted and leaving the lens cap on.
Set your mode switch (If necessary) to no flash and take a picture.
(You will probably have to select manual focusing on your lens as well so it will take a picture.)
Have a good look at this supposedly black picture and see if you have any hot / stuck pixels.
If you do have hot pixels then set the camera mode to automatic and select sensor clean from the menu.
(This is with a lens and cap still fitted.)
After a couple of seconds, switch the camera off, then back on again and take a black picture again, then check it.
Voila, no hot pixels showing in your photo.
